So you've got that GS and now you'd like to see what off-road adventure riding is all about. But you're not quite ready to jump in with both feet.
Well, we can help.
We offer what we call a "Newbie GS Ride", designed for someone with average or better than average street riding skills and little or no off-road experience. This is a two-day program with 1 to 2 hours of classroom style discussion on Saturday and approximately 5 hours of riding on Sunday. This will give you some basic skills and confidence that will enable you to begin your entry into the world of off-road adventure riding.
Using a water analogy, we're not going to make an expert swimmer out of you in one day, but we will get you to where you can jump into the pool and make it to the other end without drowning.
You will need your own bike for this training. It does not need to be a BMW. Any dual sport or adventure-style bike is fine.
The price of this training is $125 per rider. (Includes lunch Sunday)
Subsequent classes for refresher are only $25 per class, as many times as you like.
Did you purchase your GS from Brown Motor Works? If so, you just saved 50 bucks! Your price will be only $75 per class.
For questions or to sign up, contact Dave Brown 909-629-2132 ext 102.
We prefer a group size of 5 to 10 riders. The dates below are available dates for the training, but they will not become firm until we have at least 5 sign-ups.

Riding off-road is very different from riding on paved roads, and riding a big adventure bike off-road requires different techniques compared to riding a regular dirt bike. In many cases off-road techniques are exactly opposite of street riding techniques. We will not only explain what to do but why it works, so you will have a better understanding of off-road riding principles. We will cover these principles in our Saturday discussion and when we ride on Sunday you will be able to practice them and experience how they work.
Sunday
7:00 AM – Meet at McDonalds, Sierra Ave exit off I-15 for optional breakfast
8:00 AM – Depart McDonalds and ride to training area
8:30 AM - Arrive at training area
• We will do some drills to reinforce the techniques discussed on Saturday
• Additional Q & A and review if needed
10:00 AM - Approximate 2 to 3 hour off-road ride ending at lunch stop
Additional Information
You will not need your bike or riding gear for the Saturday session. This is discussion only.
For the Sunday training and ride you will need a street legal enduro style motorcycle and appropriate protective gear including helmet, gloves, boots, jacket, and long pants. Any type of helmet is OK, but you will need goggles if the helmet does not have a face shield (IE: half-helmet or dirt-style helmet). The riding gear does not need to be off-road style. Street gear is OK. It is best if the jacket/pants have armor and venting.
Lunch on Sunday is included with the training.
Optional Breakfast is not included.
Plan to be adventurous
Have Fun!
