Canyon Ride Sunday May 4th, 2008

Bob Brown will be leading a ride through several local canyons including the Leona Valley area. This will be an opportunity to use the round part of your tires.

We will start from Brown Motor Works at 7:00 am sharp. We will ride to Newcomb's Ranch on Angeles Crest highway (2) for breakfast.
(depending on the size of the group we might need to ride to the Bakers Square in Palmdale.)

We plan to ride from Newcomb's Ranch to Palmdale and out through the Leona Valley and over either San Franciscito canyon or Bouquet Canyon, possibly both and then back over Angeles Forrest to LaCanada.

This could be a long day so be prepared you might even want to bring a snack for mid day as I am not sure if we will be near any eateries when hunger strikes.

Camping at Wild Rose May 4th & 5th

Dave, Eddie, Chris K and hopefully others are planning an overnight camping trip to Wildrose Peak in Death Valley, May 4 & 5. Anyone / everyone is welcome.
It is not necessary to ride a motorcycle to attend. Motorcycles are welcome, but there will be carpooling to the hiking trail. If you do not have transportation we can accommodate you.

There will be a 4 mile hike to the camping area that goes from 6000 to 8000 foot elevation. It will be a leisurely pace with rest stops as needed, but you should be in good enough shape to make the 4 miles (at elevation) while carrying tent, sleeping bag, water and food.

The plan so far (subject to change)
Meet at Brown Motor Works on Sunday morning at 7:30 AM.
Drive (or ride) up I-15 to Hwy 395. Breakfast at Kramer Junction around 9:00.
Continue on to Wildrose Canyon, arriving at the Charcoal Kilns around noon.
Begin the hike to Wildrose Peak, stopping for lunch along the trail.
Once at the peak we will set up camp and enjoy the evening.
Hike down in the morning and head for home.

Buttonwillow Trackday Monday May 26th, 2008

Eddie will be going to an "all brand" trackday at Buttonwillow Raceway on the 26th of May. This trackday is hosted by www.thetrackclub.com . If you would like to participate, please contact Eddie at the shop for more information (909) 629-2132.

Father's Day Ride June 15th

Ron Tate will be leadind a ride on Father’s Day Morning ride June 15th. To either Bouquet Canyon or Lockwood Valley Rd. If you would like to go please contact Ron and let him know your perference by 4/30. Ron can be reached either (909) 629-2132 x 112
